Howard Edward Wickens

Howard Edward Wickens — the groom in the 25 September 1901 wedding photo — was a Salem Township, Washington County, Ohio man who married into Chuck’s maternal Way line through his short marriage to Belsora “Belle” Way.
He was born 19 May 1880 at Salem Township, Washington County, Ohio. On 25 September 1901, age 21, he married Belle Way at Noble County, Ohio. The marriage lasted only ten and a half years — Belle died at 31 in Licking County on 13 April 1912.
Howard outlived her by fifty-two years, eventually relocating to Oklahoma. He died 21 January 1964 at Enid City, Garfield County, Oklahoma, age 83, and was buried at Enid Cemetery, Oklahoma — far from Belle’s burial at Crooked Tree, Noble County, Ohio.
