Jonas Borror

b. 1863-05-25, Jackson Township, Franklin County, Ohio
d. 1961-09-22, Franklin Township, Franklin County, Ohio

Jonas Borror was the husband of Elsie Chenoweth Borror and the father of Eugene Everette Borror. He was born 25 May 1863 in Jackson Township, Franklin County, Ohio — in the countryside southwest of Columbus — and married Elsie around 1899.

He appears at center with Elsie, holding their toddler son Eugene, in the c. 1901 Chenoweth family reunion photograph.

Jonas lived an extraordinarily long life. He died 22 September 1961 in Franklin Township, Franklin County, Ohio, at ninety-eight — a span from the middle of the Civil War to the dawn of the space age, lived almost entirely within a few townships of his Franklin County birthplace. He was buried at Concord Cemetery in Grove City, in the same county where he had been born nearly a century before.
