Mary Evelyn (Becker) Mitchell

Mary Evelyn (Becker) Mitchell was the daughter of Etha May (Fleming) Becker and thus a granddaughter of James Wesley Fleming — a grandniece of Sadye Fleming Wildermuth, on the Fleming side of Chuck’s maternal line. She later married into the Mitchell family and took the Mitchell name.
She appears as a young girl of about eight in the c. late-1930s three-generation Fleming portrait, standing in front of her mother Etha at her great-grandfather Wesley’s side. That apparent age is the only current anchor for her birth, placing it around 1929–1931; a firmer date awaits family records.
