The Wildermuth Family, mid-1960s

The Wildermuth Family, mid-1960s

The full Wildermuth family in a single frame, all six of them: Robert Earl and Dottie with their four children — Terrie Lee and Sandra Sue as teenagers, Debra (“Debbie”) the school-age younger sister, and Robert Jr. (“Rob”) the toddler. From the children’s ages this is the mid-1960s, the Air-Force years that took the family across the U.S. and Japan — the same stretch that produced the Stanford return visit to the White Memorial Fountain on 24 August 1965 and Terrie’s high school graduation in Japan.

It is, alongside the two Stanford-fountain frames, the clearest portrait of all four Wildermuth siblings together — the generation that would later scatter to Marietta (Terrie), Atlanta (Sandy), Venice, FL (Rob), and elsewhere (Debbie).
