Robert 'Bob' Marion Seyler Sr.
also known as Bob Seyler
b. 1910-04-19
Robert “Bob” Marion Seyler Sr. was the son of Mae Clara (Wildermuth) Seyler and Harry Adam Seyler — born 19 April 1910, younger brother of Ruth Mae (Seyler) McIntyre. His father, Harry Adam Seyler (1876–1942), a Marietta man, had married Mae Clara Wildermuth on 12 November 1904 in Washington County, Ohio; he died at Marietta in 1942 and is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery.
He appears at about age 3 in the c. 1913 photograph of his mother’s house on Front Street, Marietta, in a pale belted overcoat and small boots — the youngest standing figure in the frame and the youngest male cousin of the assembled group.
The “Sr.” in his name indicates that he later had a son who carried the Robert Marion Seyler name forward to a Jr. generation. His marriage, that son, and the rest of his life are open research. Robert is Chuck Eesley’s first cousin twice removed on the paternal Wildermuth side.
