Ruth Mae (Seyler) McIntyre

also known as Ruth Mae Seyler, maiden; Mrs. McIntyre after marriage

b. 1907-04-28

Ruth Mae Seyler McIntyre was the daughter of Mae Clara (Wildermuth) Seyler and Harry Adam Seyler — born 28 April 1907, older sister of Robert “Bob” Marion Seyler Sr. and the eldest cousin in the c. 1913 family group. Her father, Harry Adam Seyler (1876–1942), had married Mae Clara Wildermuth on 12 November 1904 in Washington County, Ohio; he died at Marietta in 1942 and is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery.

She appears at about age 6 in the c. 1913 photograph of her mother’s house on Front Street, Marietta, in a large pale sun hat, standing beside the stroller carrying her younger first cousin Kate Clark — the eldest of the four cousins assembled in front of Mae Clara’s house that summer.

She married a McIntyre. The first name of her husband, her children, and her later life are open research. Ruth Mae is Chuck Eesley’s first cousin twice removed on the paternal Wildermuth side.
