Emma Vearl (Hill) Dailey was the second of the four Hill children and a younger sister of Bessie Marie (Hill) Davis (1905–1950), Chuck’s great-grandmother — making her Chuck’s great-grandaunt on the maternal Hill side.
She was born 25 March 1907 at Rinard Mills, in Washington Township, Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of Harvey Hendershot Hill (1882–1951) and Clara Victoria (Ullmann) Hill. Her siblings were Bessie (1905), Theodore Roosevelt Hill (1912), and Louella Virginia (Hill) Beardmore (1917). She married Everett Fulton Dailey on 3 June 1950, and died 4 December 1989 at Marietta, age 82 — back across the county line from the Monroe County hill country where the Hills began.
