Theodore Roosevelt Hill was the third of the four Hill children and the younger brother of Bessie Marie (Hill) Davis (Chuck’s great-grandmother) — Chuck’s great-granduncle on the maternal Hill side. His siblings were Bessie (1905), Emma Vearl (1907), and Louella (1917).
Born 6 June 1912 to Harvey Hendershot Hill and Clara Victoria (Ullmann) Hill, he was the one Hill sibling who left Ohio — settling in Texas (the Henderson / Rusk County area). He married three times: Ola Vivian Carter (1936), Christine E. Miller (1940), and Aller Virginia Young. He died 16 February 1979 and was buried at the Houston National Cemetery — a United States veterans’ cemetery, which points to military service, most plausibly in the Second World War era.
A note on his birthplace: the family tree records it as Henderson, Rusk County, Texas, but that is treated here as an error. His three siblings were all born in Monroe County, Ohio between 1905 and 1917, and the family was settled there; the Texas entry almost certainly reflects where Theodore later lived and died rather than where he was born. He is placed in Ohio with his siblings.
