Johannes Jung

Johannes Jung was born 13 January 1776 in Frohnhofen — the same Kusel-district village in the Pfalz his descendants came from — and was christened the following day, 14 January 1776, at the Altenkirchen parish church (Bezirksamt Homburg, in what was then the Kingdom of Bavaria). He lived his whole life in Frohnhofen and died there on 3 October 1844, age 68, buried two days later at Altenkirchen.
He married Maria Catharina Hoffmann (1781–1847), also of Frohnhofen, and they had ten children. Among them was Maria Margaretha Jung (b. 1814), who married the Breitenbach miner Christian Boeshar and became the mother of the emigrant Catharina Boeshar — Chuck’s great-great-great-grandmother.
His own parents in the tree are Theobald Jung and Maria Elisabetha Becker — Chuck’s six-times-great-grandparents, documented so far only by name.
He is Chuck’s five-times-great-grandfather on the maternal Wildermuth side, through Margaretha → Catharina → William Clifford Wildermuth → Earl Adam → Robert Earl → Terrie → Chuck. He is one of the deepest documented ancestors on the whole maternal line.
