Maria Catharina Hoffmann

b. 1781-03-14, Frohnhofen, Landkreis Kusel, Bayern, Germany (christened 18 March 1781 at Frohnhofen)
d. 1847-04-16, Frohnhofen, Landkreis Kusel, Bayern, Germany (buried 18 April 1847 at Altenkirchen)

Maria Catharina Hoffmann was born 14 March 1781 in Frohnhofen, in the Kusel district of the Rhineland-Palatinate (the Pfalz), and was christened there four days later. She married Johannes Jung (1776–1844) of the same village, and they raised ten children in Frohnhofen — among them Maria Margaretha Jung (b. 1814), the future mother of the emigrant Catharina Boeshar. She died 16 April 1847 in Frohnhofen, age 66, and was buried at Altenkirchen — outliving her husband by about two and a half years.

Her own parents in the tree are Jakob Hoffman and Maria Elisabetha Böhnlein — Chuck’s six-times-great-grandparents, documented so far only by name.

She is Chuck’s five-times-great-grandmother on the maternal Wildermuth side, through Margaretha → Catharina → William Clifford Wildermuth → Earl Adam → Robert Earl → Terrie → Chuck.
