Joseph Eesley

Joseph Eesley was confirmed by the 1799 baptism record at Hanwell as the father of John Eesley, the Stratford miller, but his own parents and earlier life are unresolved. Candidates surface in the Oxford library research notes — competing Williams of Bloxham, Banbury, and Oxford St Aldate baptized variously in 1716, 1731, 1740, and 1743; a Francis Easley of Hanwell who died aged 73 in 1829 (implied birth ~1756); a Joseph who died 69 at Hanwell in 1833 (implied birth ~1764) — but none has been tied to Joseph by a clean record. He stands at the floor of the documented line for now.
