Norma Jean (Wolfe) Grundset
also known as Norma Grundset; Mrs. Kenneth Grundset; the middle Wolfe daughter; named for her father Norman
Norma Jean (Wolfe) Grundset is the middle daughter of Betty Jean (Davis) Wolfe and Norman Graham Wolfe — named twice over for her parents:
- Norma — after her father Norman Graham Wolfe.
- Jean — after her mother Betty Jean Davis Wolfe.
The double-naming pattern is the most explicit family-loyalty naming in the Wolfe daughter trio: she carries both parents’ names. She is Chuck’s mother Terrie Lee Wildermuth’s first cousin on the maternal Davis side.
She married Kenneth Grundset and was living in Largo, Pinellas County, Florida — the Tampa-Bay-area suburb — at the time of her parents’ 2015 deaths. Norm and Betty had moved to Largo c. 2013 specifically to be near their daughters Norma and Peggy in Florida; the Florida cousin’s house was the gravitational pull for the elder Wolfe migration in the family’s last decade.
Norm died in Largo on 9 January 2015; Betty followed six months and nine days later on 18 July 2015, her daughters and her favorite grand dog Lily by her side during her final days reminiscing, laughing, and talking about the love and strength of family (per Betty’s obituary). Norma was one of those daughters.
