Albert Robert Eesley

b. 1837, Old Stratford, Warwickshire
d. 1902

Albert Robert Eesley grew up the middle son of John Eesley (the Stratford miller) and Susan Babbs. He left England in the late 1850s — the brief gives ~1858 — and went to work in the Goldie family’s flour mill in Scotland, where he met and married Jeanie Goldie. Their son Charles Leonard Eesley (1879–1972) was born in Scotland and would later carry the family forward to the United States.

The 1985 Eesley family history cover, drawn by Will Eesley, shows the Goldie mill — the architectural witness to where this generation’s life was made.
