Eesley family reunion at Highland Ridge — c. 1973 (color frame)

A color group photograph from one of the annual Highland Ridge family reunions that Wilbur “Will” Eesley began hosting after his father Charles Leonard Eesley’s death in October 1972 — five of Charles Leonard’s children with their spouses, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild, gathered at the Highland Ridge Road house near Lowell, Ohio, c. 1973. It is a separate, slightly later frame from the black-and-white founding reunion group (c. 1971–1972) already in the archive — a different day in the same tradition, with a different subset of the family present. Peggy McMaster Eesley is not in this frame — she was behind the camera.

The cast

Five of Charles Leonard Eesley’s children and their families:

• His sons Will, Don, and Leonard — Leonard is the elder man in the frame; his daughters Mary Eesley Bean and Helen (Eesley) Burnes
• Peggy Youman Eesley — Don’s wife
• Grandchildren Charlie and his wife Terrie; Jeanne; Roberta and Katie Burnes
• Mafry Hyatt — of the Chenoweth side
• Great-granddaughter Stephanie Kamiab — a young girl of about five or six here, not a carried toddler (she was already talking by late 1970, so born c. 1967–68), which fits the c. 1973 date

Still to identify: a young woman in the left-hand (Burnes) cluster, and a boy of about eight in a striped shirt — most likely a young grandson of Helen Burnes (a child of one of her married daughters), i.e., one of the great-grandchildren on the Burnes side.
